The City of Medford invites you to use our park system that features many playground areas, walking paths such as the Riverwalk that encircles the Black River.

The Pine Line Trail (off site) is a 26 mile bike and walking path that provides safe and enjoyable way to exercise with trail head and parking on the north side of Medford. Annual events for the Pine Line are the Dairyland Marathon and Volksmarsch.

Approximately 10 miles northwest of Medford is the Chequamegon National Forest (off site) that features the Ice Age Trail and other natural areas that can be enjoyed.

The Medford Area Community Theatre (off site) provides entertainment from local performers.

The ArtsMedford (off site) is a community organization that features local art and artists of Medford.

There are shelters that can be rented for events and special occasions in Medford’s park system

The Frances L. Simek Memorial Library provides programs for youth such as Story Time Fridays and the Summer Reading Program (off site)

Medford currently has two Farmer Markets with vendors selling artisanal food from local growers during the warm months.  One market is Thursday afternoons on Whelen Avenue and the other is Saturday mornings (off site) at the corner of Broadway and Hwy 13.

Our main goal is to provide recreational and cultural activities that are accessible, safe and affordable for all to use.
