Park Facilities

{90F5F45C-1035-4A60-BBF2-5C6D045110EA}There are three shelters at the City Park and one shelter at Grahl Park available to the public from May to September 30th. The City does not accept reservations for the gazebo and covered bridge.

Rental Fee

The rental fee is $50.00 per shelter per day. The rental fee is required at the time of the reservation. A $25.00 deposit fee is required at the time the key(s) are picked up. The deposit fee will be returned if the shelter(s) are cleaned, and not damaged.


Reservations

Reservations can be made Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM by calling the Department of Public Works at (715) 748-1187.  The City will accept reservations two years in advance of the event. Civic and church organizations are exempt from this requirement and will be able to reserve a shelter on a continuous basis.


Cancellations

Reservation rental fee is non-refundable.

Keys – The keys for the shelter(s) may be picked up the day before the event or if a weekend, the Friday before the event. Keys must be returned the next day or if a weekend, the Monday following the event. Keys must be returned the next day or if a weekend, the Monday following the event. The keys are available at City Hall located at 639 S. Second Street, Medford, WI between the hours of 8:00 Am – 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday.

Padlocks

When not in use, all padlocks should be placed in the locked position on the overhead doors. Replacement cost for lost or missing padlocks/keys in the responsibility of the party reserving the shelter. Costs: Padlock - $20.00, Key - $5.00.

Animals

Domesticated animals are not allowed in the park except those restrained by a leash 8-foot or less in length. All domesticated animals are prohibited on all grassy areas in the City parks and in the waters in or adjacent to the City parks.

Park Hours

All park facilities are closed to the public between the hours of 11:00 PM through 5:00 AM excepting the camping areas and riverwalk which are opened 24-hours each day. Authorized events (events where a permit has been issued by the Council) are exempt.

Beer/Liquor

Consumption of beer is allowed in the park, however the sale of beer is prohibited. Liquor is prohibited.

* Under Wisconsin Statutes, a Temporary Class "B" is license is available to organizations that meet certain requirements. There is a 15-day waiting period. Please contact the Clerk’s Office at 715-748-4321 for more information.

Permits

A permit, for a period not to exceed three days, is required for advertising, soliciting, peddling, selling or otherwise promoting a commercial activity on City park property. Please contact the Clerk’s Office at 715-748-4321 for more information.

Cleanup

It is the responsible of the party reserving the shelter(s) to cleanup the area at the close of their event. This includes sweeping the floor and wiping the tables. The City does not provide cleaning supplies. It is suggested that you bring a broom. Trashcans are available. The City will supply two trash bags. Extra bags are the responsibility of the party reserving the shelter. Tied trash bags should be placed in the dumpster located near the shelter(s).
