Swimming Pool

Recreation & Culture

12292_Originals-68-2The final day the City of Medford public pool 2019 season was August 23rd.  The Medford municipal swimming pool will reopen June 2020.

The City offers a large outdoor zero entry heated swimming pool with two basketball hoops, a rock climbing wall and a slide located along Wheelock Street in the City Park.  Lifeguards are on duty during pool hours. The pool offers a lounge area for sunbathing. Seating is limited, please bring your own chairs to sit back and relax.   As a reminder, all swimmers are required to take a shower before entering the pool.  Lets keep our pool clean and health for everyone to enjoy.  You can fill out a Seasonal Pass Application and bring it in at City Hall.  The City Pool is open during the Summer months.  The High School also has a indoor pool that is open to the public during scheduled times.  To learn more Medford High School swimming pool.

City of Medford Public Pool Closing and Inclement Weather Policy

The Medford City Pool may be subject to early closing or not opening due to inclement weather, mechanical reasons or low attendance. The Remind system is a private mobile message platform that helps communicate quickly and effectively. This year I plan to implement this message service for the first time for our outdoor city pool. If you would like to sign up, follow the Sign up directions on the back.

Patrons need to be 13 years old and older to subscribe. Do not confuse the "MdfrdCityPool" with other agencies.

(For example "District Administrator" is a different group that is linked to the Medford School District events/happenings)

Although this system should streamline communication, remember this is a first-time trial, and I cannot guarantee it will be completely foolproof.

Get information for MdfrdCityPool right on your phone—not on handouts.
